This is our new diving area . . . Gorgeous!
This is still in the area that we are in already, beautiful nonetheless.
So, Dad and I were told that the beach on the other side was Beautiful. And that we should go check it out. Well, instead of getting wet, we went up and over a mountain. Little did we know, we were going to be following a goat path. It was quite the hike, but, we made it.
Afterwards, we decided to just get wet. The tumult we had to walk back in, which wasn't all that bad actually.
My Pina-Colada . . SO GOOD!!! It was a shaved out pineapple with the juice and strips left in it with coconut milk added. YUMMMMYYYYYY!!!!!!
Catch of the day . . . our lunch
Dominican Specialty! Plantain Fries, Cabbage, Carrots, Fish, and Rice! Bueno! Very tasty!
Friends that didn't make the menu for that day . . . But, made the album anyway.
The only way to get to the beach we were at was to drive through a river that actually connects the two roads. Off to the left of the vehicle: there are some locals cleaning their food, off to the right front: two people cleaning a motor bike, and to the left front, four men basking in the 'deep portion of the river' soaking and drinkin beers. And, while we were driving, a man on a horse came by and passed us.
Between Lunch and 'the Hike' we went and gave beans and rice to some of the locals. It was really neat.
This is someone's home.
The local Church
and they are so creative! This is a boat that he made.
It's amazing, for not having much, they have A LOT of Heart! They will give you anything they have! And they live so simply. I wonder if we should all just go and live there ways for a while, and we would all be more grateful. We have so much!
