Paramedic time!

So, yesterday was my first shift with the fire station, my first official call, and my first official patient, and my first call was a cardiac arrest! And I LOVED IT!!!!!!!! I got to do CPR, ventilate the patient, push drugs, watch him get shocked, watch him get a tube to help him breath, transport him to the hospital, and it was pretty neat! One of the medics and I almost head-butted going around a round about getting to the hospital while going lights and sirens with him doing CPR and me bagging the patient. It was Nuts! The doctor ended up calling the code, and he died. But even then I got to take out the IV, and take off the defibrillation pads. But, it was so neat to be on the call with my cardiology teacher, I was so impressed with him. He was so calm and collected, and I knew everything that was going on. there were no surprises, except for that the Emergency Room does the exact same thing that we do for Heart Attacks, except we are just not contained inside a facility. I was so impressed with the level of training that i have already. and how much i have already learned! One of the most interesting things that i found was that I felt total peace when we arrived on scene and I knew that he wasn't going to make it, I knew that he had had a great life, and that his time had come, and everything was going to work out with his family. Anyway, It was probably one of the neatest experiences of the week! Definitely a highlight!

Fun, Friends and Fir!

Well, we have had quite the array of visitors! Every sunday we host a Sunday Social where people from all over the complex come and gather to enjoy . . . socializing, hence the name. Last week, we won Jenga, We couldnt go any higher without taking from the top four layers and it was intense! Hence the optimal height advantage fo the stools. And, we also lured this little guy in with some friendship bread that i had made. But, he didn't stay long. But, we still see him around complex and every time I see him, I can just tell he is saying hi and thank you fur the friendship bread. What a cute little guy.

Something Just For You . . . My Readers

Something just for you! Lucky you!The first five people to respond to this post will get something made by me! My choice. For you. This offer does have some restrictions and limitations:

1- I make no guarantees that you will like what I make!
2- What I create will be just for you.
3- It'll be done this year. (might be a little while)
4- You have no clue what it's going to be. It may be a story. It may be poetry or an article on properly cleaning your face before a masque. I may draw or paint something. I may bake you something and mail it to you. Who knows? Not you, that's for sure!
5- I reserve the right to do something extremely strange.

The catch? Oh, the catch is that you must repost this on your blog and offer the same to the first 5 people who do the same on your blog. The first 5 people to do so and leave a comment telling me they did win a FAB-U-LOUS homemade gift by me! Oh, and be sure to post a picture of what you win when you get it! Good luck!

For those of you who don't have a blog, well... I guess we can figure something out

*I'm also gonna add (and you don't have to on yours) that if I already have 5 comments, please don't let that detour you from leaving a comment... I just might feel generous enough to make more than 5 things to give away!)

Well! What a splendid Valentine's I had! Homework for 3 hours, shopping with mom for 3 more hours, Flowers from Dad, Chocolates from mom. a chocolate from kerri that she saved for me out of the bag that i gave her. And I made a GIGANTIC heart shaped cookie for Ker! It was rockin! I am not quite sure what emotion is showing on her face, but I am pretty sure it is because of the giant cookie! It was so fun to come home for the long weekend! I love my family so much!
